How much alcohol is in one drink? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one drink is: • 1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor or distilled spirits • 5 ounces of wine that has 12% alcohol content • 8 ounces of malt liquor that has 7% alcohol content • 12 ounces of beer that has 5% alcohol content If you want to know more, check out the CDC’s handy infographic about alcohol.
