Medically Supervised Detoxification and Enhanced Detox

Detoxification is a crucial aspect of any addiction treatment process and should be managed by a qualified and experienced medical professional who can assist in the event of a serious medical emergency and alleviate withdrawal symptoms. The medical detox process takes place as inpatient and can last between three to seven days. This depends on the patient’s progress as well as the scope of their substance use history. Further medical support may be necessary for those patients experiencing associated physical health issues and lingering withdrawal symptoms. Ambulatory or inpatient detox is essential to assist patients to overcome painful withdrawal symptoms in a safe manner.
