Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs

At Sunshine Behavioral Health, we believe in helping our clients during every step of their recovery journey. For some, this requires an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or what we call phase 3 of treatment.

About Our IOP Program

While participating in IOPs, clients have the chance to continue treatment while slowly integrating themselves back into society. It is important for some people to slowly regain their freedom while continuing to follow a strict schedule and submitting drug and alcohol screenings. IOP is designed to provide these requirements.

Clients in our IOP program will continue therapy and addiction education while learning to live in society without using drugs or alcohol. While in our programs, our clients learn job and basic life skills so they can leave treatment ready to live a healthy, addiction-free life. We require people in our IOP program to volunteer or work at part-time jobs.

Our clients complete therapy and addiction education in our clinical office. They then return to our transitional living homes in the evening. While staying in our housing, clients will need to do basic jobs – just as they would in their own homes – to keep the house clean and maintain their living spaces. Doing the dishes, making sure their rooms are clean, and taking care of their laundry help to offer a sense of belonging to the lives that they are developing. In addition, clients are required to submit random drug and alcohol screenings and attend support group meetings during IOP.

If you are interested in IOP treatment, we will work with your insurance and determine how long you can stay in our IOP transitional living homes.
