Willow Springs is a sprawling campus stretching across 38 landscaped acres with a fitness center, pool, pond, walking paths, sand volleyball court, tennis, basketball, and more. Set in a rural area, clients have the privacy to reflect and focus on their treatment, with all of the amenities that one would expect for a resort.

There are plenty of staff members at all times. This includes nurses, counselors, and behavioral health technicians, available at any time, day or night.

Our staff is continually receiving additional training in their field of expertise, as well as monthly development and training in ways to improve the addiction treatment process.

We offer onsite detox with round-the-clock medical and emotional care. Our clients get to keep the tech devices they come to us with, so they will have the ability to communicate with friends and family throughout the treatment process. We also feature a gym and pool, which all clients get to enjoy.

At Willow Springs Recovery, we believe in community, and we offer many community recreational activities including different types of sports and games. We also offer frequent off-campus outings to clients that have attended all of their treatment sessions. Healthy, delicious meals and alternative options for all dietary needs and concerns.

During intake, clients are assessed to determine the severity of the addiction, length of addiction, and overall health. This process helps to ensure that the proper type of treatment is set in place, and what the client might need during detox. Once the assessments are completed, clients review and sign paperwork so they can begin the treatment process.

Once the intake process has concluded, clients can then settle into detox. From here, it is up to the individual how they are feeling and if they want to begin treatment or not. Some feel okay to start therapy, while others need the time to rest. Either way is perfectly fine.

There is a wide range of treatment options available to our clients because we understand that not everyone does well with a 12 step-based treatment program. We also offer SMART recovery and Darma recovery. All individual therapy sessions, as well as homework, are catered to the individual and what they feel will work best for them.

Talk therapy both individually and in groups is a very common type of treatment, as well as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). Groups typically start at 9:00 am and conclude around 4:00 pm, with 15-minute breaks between and a lunch.

When you first get to Willow Springs Recovery, you will be greeted by one of our staff. Then, you’ll begin the intake process. Our staff understands how hard it can be to begin overcoming an addiction. They are caring and friendly and will help you to navigate getting checked in and settled.

Detox usually takes anywhere from three to 10 days, and during this time, you may begin your treatment if you are feeling up to it, but don’t have to. Your first week is usually a time to start healing your body and getting all substances and alcohol out of your system.

Mealtimes are set. Breakfast is 7:30 – 8:30 am, lunch is noon – 1:00 pm, dinner is from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. The menu is typically prepared on a four-week basis. If the client has special needs or doesn’t like the meal for the day, other arrangements can be made.

Clients can receive care packages but should note that all of these will be reviewed by staff and homemade food items will not be allowed. Due to Covid restrictions, clients are only allowed sealed packages of protein powder, which they can dose themselves.

Before check-in, everyone receives a list of clothing that is recommended and what is not allowed. There should be no skin-tight or overly revealing articles of clothing, and it’s also important to remember to bring comfortable clothing for all types of weather and situations.

What to bring to treatment. While there is a list of things that are not allowed when entering treatment, clients will want to bring weather appropriate clothing, and then something warmer/cooler for the occasional changes in temperature. Plan to engage in activities such as walking, hiking, playing sports, etc. Bring your swimsuit in the summer months, as there is a pool. Your electronic devices are welcome, so be sure to bring them. Personal care items can also be brought as long as they are unopened and do not have alcohol as one of the first three ingredients.
