Description
To apply for the $500 scholarship, please submit an essay focused on the Opioid epidemic in the United States.
The topic is open-ended. Do you or a loved one have a personal story overcoming opioid addiction? Do you have analysis of the latest research that provides insight on how to address this epidemic? Share your story and showcase your writing skills!
A $500 award will be given to a student pursuing a health-related degree program.
Areas of study that will be considered include, but are not limited to, Nursing, Pre-Med, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or any other field relating to substance abuse.
Eligibility
Students must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
- Enrolled or accepted in an accredited college or university and plan to continue enrollment
If selected as a recipient, you must consent to a talent release and be willing to provide a digital photograph and for display on Sunshinebehavioralhealth.com
Selection & Awards
The winner will be notified following the deadline and the award will be credited to the student’s school
